Valves Pressesprecher Doug Lombardi verschickt momentan Mails. Viele Mails, dutzende oder gar hunderte Seiten dürften den Pressesprecher von Valve um eine Stellungnahme gebeten haben. Nun gibt es diese - und in allen Antwortschreiben steht ein und das selbe Wort: "Gerücht".

Es handelt sich bei der Originalmeldung der britischen Onlineseite The Inquirer also um ein "Gerücht".
Update:
Gegenüber MTV.com hat Doug Lombardi seine Wortwahl etwas abgeändert. Er bezeichnet die Meldung vom Valve-Kauf durch Google als "komplett erfunden". Um ganz sicher zu gehen, fragt MTV nochmal umgekehrt, ob die Behauptung stimmt, dass Valve nicht von Google gekauft wird. Die Antwort von Lombardi: "Das ist korrekt."
