Meine Map ist komplett von einer skybox eingekleidet (AntiLeak g*). Irgendwodarin hab ich eine art bad, inder ich nun Wasser haben möchte...
Dies füllt nur einen 4eckigen bereich. also brush gezogen, nodraw, oberfläche mit wunderbarem aztecwater versehen, env_cubemap erstellt und verknüpft, sogar das waterloadcontrol (hab des irgendwo aufgeschnappt - es wäre nötig?!?) draufgepappt. nun - nix :
InGame : von oben sehe ich komplett durch bis auf die skyboxtextur. Springe ich ins Wasser, sehe ich von unten die schöne wassertextur und das Wasser, wie es halt sein sollte. wieso aber von oben nich
Ich hab daraufhin nur mein Bad kopiert und ein neues vmf erstellt - nur mit dem bad - compile - es GEHT! ?? ich versteh die welt nich mehr... need help!
1.nur auf einer Flache des Nodraw Brushes der Wasser sein soll später darf eine wassertextur drauf. Die Textur kommt auf die obere Fläche drauf.
2.env_cubemap. Teile dem env_cubemap die Wasseroberfläche zu. Env_cubemap Entity öffnen die einzig möglcihe option wählen und damit die flache anklicken fertig. "buildcubemaps" und die fläche refektiert und spiegelt.
3.water_lod_control brauchst du eigentlich nicht.
4.Die Textur des Wassers ist vllt. ein Faktor der zu Fehlern führen könnte probier eine andere Textur aus.
Also Einstellungen sollten stimmen so wie du sie erwähnt hast.
- Wassertextur hab ich jetzt nature/water_canals_water2 die sollte hinhauen (laut theWall.de tutor)
- water_lod_control hab ich rausgehauen
es funktioniert immer noch nicht! Aber wie erwähnt wenn ich nur den Teil rauskopiere und in einer neuen vmf reinschmeisse - compiliere - und es geht ! dort geht des!!!
Noch 3 Bilder die ingame zeigen was ich hier versuche zu beschreiben:
bild1 : stehe mitten in meinem bad - unten das grün wäre die skybox - das ganze bassin ist von unten mit "nodraw" umgeben, man sieht jetzt hier durch bis auf den boden/skybox
bild2 : wie gehabt : wasser wäre vorhanden
bild3 : geduckt sieht das wasser ordentlich aus¨
versuch mak dein wasser mit einer "massiven" Textur einzumauern, also genau an den seitlichen und unteren Rändern zb mit einer felstextur, bei mir hats auch oft gesponnen wenns nur mit nodraw, bzw der skybox begrenz war.
@nukolar -> massiv also so n richtig fetten brush ziehen und den einfach bestehen lassen? also nicht von unten her mit nodraw überziehen?!? probier ich gleich mal aus
ich meinte nicht mit massiv das du einen fetten brocken hin klotzen sollst, sindern einfach mit brushes die keine nodraw textur haben einmauern sodass kein wasser auslaufen kann (das mitn auslaufen is nur theoretisch zur erklärung). weiters würd ich drauf achten das deine mauerbrushes genau an der grenze des wasserblocks anliegen

müsste ne koordinate beistehen
oder wie war das mapstarten und irgend nen befehl eingeben oder so .... ka ich weiss es nicht genau weil ich selten fehler habe .
um das Leak zu finden, einfach die map compilieren, dann, wenn er fertig ist, im Hammer unter dem Menü "Map" auf "load Pointfile" klicken, dann, müsste eine *.lin datei sein, danach sollte eine rote Linie sichtbar sein, die zum Leak führt.
1) komme dem Poinfilezeugs nicht ganz nach ! wie ist diese rote linie zu verstehen? kann mir da jemand gerade tips geben?!?
2) hab 3 Displacement Boden gebaut und diese so gut wies geht zusammengefügt - mir ist bewusst das dies natürlich löcher gibt aber ich denke wenn ich darunter einen riesen brush ziehe + links,rechts,oben, an den seiten die skybox - sollte das doch klappen?!? jetzt aber beim ziehen dieses Bodens compiliert es ewig!!
3) muss ich dem da beachtung schenken?!? :
