Whether it manifests as a big actual change kind of depends on your computer, your network speed, and your account (ie, how many games installed/owned/etc). For some users the IPC calls were the bottleneck, for others it's CPU time starting up the IE instances or network speed communicating with the Steam servers, etc. So it's hard to say exactly who will see the improvement the most, but it's a real noticeable improvement for some and still real but less noticeable for others. |
