Der bisher sehr erfolgreiche Mod Capture The Flag für Half-Life 2 hat seit Dienstag mit einem Map Contest begonnen. Mapper die diesen Mod mit seiner Map unterstützen wollen und bei dem Contest mitmachen möchten, können sich im Forum vom CTF sich anmelden

Once we have 20 mappers in the contest we will be closing the door and getting things started.

Die Maximale Anzahl der Mapper ist 20 und danach wird keiner mehr in den Contest aufgenommen. Was genau für Regeln oder besser gesagt die die Grenzen sind, wird im zweiten Quote etwas genauer erklärt

Im thinking about these guidelines for a map contest
Length - 6 to 8 weeks to finish your map
Maps should be balanced and have good gameplay
Maps should be from original thought and not based off of any other maps
Maps should not be remakes of other maps.
Maps should contrain original textures
Maps should be based on a average of 16 players meaning spawn it decently with weapons for each team and respawn points.
Mappers would be required to show a progress report once a week this way it keeps the mappers mapping and not taking up a spot that someone else could have been using. Any mappers that fail to send a progress report or fail to notify that they are going to be late on sending it will be dropped from the competition.
A panel of judges will be formed to play and test all map entries.
Map bugs will be reported to the mapper to be fixed.
Probably wont be any prizes involved with this other than probably having one of the most played maps in the community if you get picked as a winner.

User die mitmachen möchten, sollten sich dringends beeilen und sich anmelden. Andere die interesse haben nur die Maps zu sehen und wie das ganze abläuft und sich entwickelt, denen wird eine gute Nachricht überbracht. Wir werden stehts über Neuigkeiten vom Contest berichten um euch so auf dem laufenden zu halten. Vielleicht schafft es auch ein User von
www.hlportal.de in den Contest und kann sich den Sieg erbauen.
