Zitat: game-mods.com: Now, you described the battles as "Open Ended". Could you elaborate on that a little more?
MadMechwarrior: Players are put into a sandbox scenario, we give them to tools to fight the battle and the rest is up to them. The only victory condition is to control all the subsystems on the map, however the scenarios are extremely dynamic. The ships can not only move around, but they can also get destroyed, so the battlefield changes over time and this means each game will be different from the last.
X-Ray - The only way we could plausibly merge three different genres was by creating a design scheme that was very open-ended in nature. We give them the tools, as MMW said, and they choose what to use. However, players will find that they pretty much need to use everything at their disposal to be successful. There won't be any games that are lopsided towards "tactical ship only" combat. Each genre will see action.
